He was one of the trending talks on Twitter and Facebook, where the claims of his death began rising. Millions of concerns ignited worldwide to know whether the actor is dead or alive after the news, but it came as a false rumor later.
Thankfully, the veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs is alive and well. The spokesperson for AGN, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, brought the real news falsifying the death rumors of the actor. She mentioned:
"This is to inform the general public that our legendary Actor, Olu Jacobs is alive, very hale and hearty. Disregard the malicious rumor about his death making rounds especially on social media. It is fake news. The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria is in touch with the family. We use this medium to warn mischief makers and enemies of our industry to desist from this wickedness"
Similarly, Lala Akindoju, an actress and producer, put a call through the veteran actor and brought the information of him being healthy and hale into the light. She, in the meantime, requested not to flow the false news over the media through a tweet.
Olu's Wife Responded To The Rumors
While the talks of Olu Jacobs' death hit the media, his wife Joke Silva, who is also a Nigerian actress, came up with an announcement where she mentioned Olu is in good health. Addressing the media, she expressed that she found false news depressing.
Joke Silva talked about how she prays every day not to seek any help from the public as she believes that the recent incident humiliated her husband. She even mentioned that Olu is preparing for his birthday next month in July 2020.
