Mike Epps Married Life With Wife Kyra Robinson

Mike met his current wife, Kyra Robinson, at the airport. The couple got married two years, in the summer of 2019, later in a private ceremony in Newport Beach, California, following their engagement in the fall of 2018. It became his second marriage.

During an episode of The View, Kyra explained that Mike used a cheesy pick-up line, and thankfully she found it funny. The pair’s wedding in 2019 was featured by celebrities such as T.I. and Snoop Dogg. They did quite the lavish ceremony at a picturesque resort in Newport Beach, California, and the wedding theme was New York Summer romance. The actor said he had an amazing time at his own wedding and had a hard time holding back his tears.

“It was hard (to not cry),” he admitted during a 2019 appearance on The View. “You know, you meet somebody so beautiful as Kyra and joy make me cry (sic) so I was just (balling). We had such a great time. I wanna marry her again, right now!”

About 200 intimate friends and family were invited to the ceremony while the bride walked down the aisle towards Mike, and both said, ‘I do.’ They donned such a beautiful and royal look, and their dressing was equally amazing, as Essence.com shared their wedding photos after the ceremony. Kyra wore a Pedram Couture gown, complete with a 20-foot train and diamond headpiece with her hair pulled back into a sleek bun. The actor was dressed to impress in a custom Tom Ford tuxedo and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Mike and Kyra went public with their relationship in 2017, just a few months after Mike’s divorce with Mechelle McCain was finalized. While they were said to have dated for about a year, Kyra late announced their engagement in an Instagram post in September 2018.

Prior to Kyra, Mike was married to Mechelle McCain in 2006, but later they were involved in a messy divorce. They welcomed two daughters together; Moriah and Madison. The couple was doing fine, but it started to go haywire when they separated during the summertime of 2015. And when Mechelle once tried to inquire the reason behind their sudden separation, she saw Mike walking with another woman, as reported by her in February of 2016 to TMZ. And it all brought them up to have a messy divorce.

Mike had reportedly filed for divorce in January 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. However, McCain alleged that she knew nothing of the divorce when he began the proceedings. The papers she filed claimed that the couple had been apart since February 2016, but according to Epps, they separated in June 2015. McCain said she had no idea they were separated before January 2016. Eventually, the divorce became a public affair, and it was finally finalized in September of 2017.

Mike also has two other daughters, the eldest among his five children – Makyla and Bria – from a previous relationship.
