Michelle McManus Net Worth

With a successful singing career, Michelle McManus has an estimated net worth of $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Michelle had talked about how the music bosses had no idea how to market her talent and how the public wasn’t ready to embrace plus-size singers.

Michelle had won the ITV show ‘Pop Idol’ back in 2003 and had her first single All This Time go to number one in charts. However, her music career was failed, and she took to another field like helping to launch the Scottish Baker of The year 2016 competition.

She was dropped by her record company, Sony BMG when her second single only reached number 13, and she said, “ it wasn’t the right time in 2003, that kind of plus-size acceptance and revolution wasn’t to come until much later on.” She added, “it wasn’t about the voice, your image did really matter, and that’s kind of why my career didn’t go anywhere at the time because they didn’t know what to do with me. I don’t think they really thought I was ever going to win so when I won it was a scramble to get an album together.”

She continued, “ when they said ‘we’re going to drop you’ it was devastating. I didn’t know how to tell my family.”

Michelle has since then worked as a broadcaster and theatre performer, insisting that she would not appear on a talent show or any reality show because of how people are attacked on social media.
