American Rapper Meek Miller has accused Atlantic Records of trying to separate him from Roddy Rich and Rick Ross on a series of tweets posted on 2 February 2022. He tweeted how the Atlantic record couldn't drop music until 9 months after his last album got blackballed. He shared how his record label made over $100 million on him and they cut him out of managing Roddy Rich when he was behind bars.
Roddy my youngin still …. But that label seperated us instantly when the millions came in from him… same thing they tried to do with me and rozay … it takes a long time to catch up too because most of em tied in for the love of some money …artist scared to speak up

"Roddy my youngin still ... But that label separated us instantly when the millions came in from him...same thing they tried to do with me and rozay...it takes a long time to catch up too because most of em tied in for the love of some money .. artist scared to speak up."
Meek also tweeted that Atlantic Records didn't pour any cash into his Expensive Pain project and they were not allowed to drop his album for nine months which is the time for the ending of his deal with the label. He also said that he wasn't scared to speak against them because he isn't dependent unlike other rappers of the company.
Meek encouraged other artists to speak up against the manipulative labels and tell the truth saying, "Other artists speak up and tell the truth while you winning not when you are down!" He then claimed how they bought Roddy to him and cut him as soon as the money came and said that he didn't get a dollar from the label. He tweeted,
"Also I had to fight for my life to get dc4 counted as an album because they said I 'called it a mixtape' if ya'all made 20 million off it what is it counted as? "
His last tweet explained that he and Roddy are good now and wrote,
"they would of let us go to war and made the money still .. I had to say I'm rich that's my youngin and turn to these people and ask wassup for the work they asked me to do! I ain't get a dollar"
While Meek ranted all his allegations on Twitter, his label, Atlantic Records has offered no comment as to their official response.
