Maria Taylor

ESPN's Maria Taylor was the victim of recently-fired radio host Dan McNeil, who made a bad comment about her outfits. McNeil compared Taylor's outfit to something that AVN (Adult Video News) awards show host would wear through a tweet.

The tweet has been since-deleted from his account. However, Taylor made a backfire against the Chicago radio host with a statement, where she wrote:

"Well Danny Dearest if you would like to continue making sexist comments about me…please bring your misogyny with you to the NBA Countdown doubleheader I’ll be hosting tomorrow night. Hey, ladies remember you can wear whatever you feel confident in!”

Dan McNeil has since-been fired from the channel station.

Later, on 20 September 2020, Dan McNeil issued an apology tweet regarding the crude comments that he made about Maria Taylor's outfit. He mentioned:

Who Is Maria Taylor Married Too?

Maria Taylor is married to her husband Rodney Blackstock, whom she first met back in September 2014 during the game of Charlotte Hornets. Taylor caught Rodney in her eyes while Rodney, too, was commenting about her at the same time. Speaking with The Knot, she remembered saying, 'If we keep coming to these games, I'm going to end up dating him.'

On the same day, they met in the backroom, and Rodney Backstock approached her first. The lovebirds are together since then. They dated for eight months before getting engaged. Actually, Rodney planned on proposing Taylor on vacation to Palm Springs; however, Taylor was not ready to start a life as a wife.

'I wasn't ready to be a wife and he wasn't ready to be a husband. We just needed more time. As difficult as it was to break off the wedding, we wanted to be in a better place together—especially when you go through a life-changing event like a wedding,' she told The Knot. Eventually, Rodney Blackstock proposed to her during a trip to Los Angeles.
