Mare Winningham is now confirmed to be married to actor Anthony Edwards. Anthony Edwards opened up about their secret marriage that happened last year in an interview with Esquire. He shared that they eloped late last year after reconnecting following their respective divorces.

Edward said that they were too old to throw weddings and mentioned that it was only two of them and a friend who officiated. The actor further described Mare as an amazing singer and a wonderful actress. He also pointed out that she was an incredible person. The couple has been friends for four decades since they screen-tested for the lead roles in the 1985 romance comedy The Sure Thing together. However, the couple starred in Miracle Mile together in 1988 and maintained their strong friendship connection.
