Lyn-Z Married To Gerard Way During A Tour

Lyn-Z and Gerard Way started dating in June 2007. Gerard Way is best known for working as a lead vocalist (and rhythm guitarist and pianist) with the My Chemical Romance from 2001 to 2013.

The couple got together thanks to the late lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington. Chester invited out several bands to aid him in his tour project called ‘Projekt Revolution’ in 2007, and Gerard’s MCR and Lyn-Z’s MSI also happened to be there. In an interview, Gerard, with much respect for the late Chester, expresses his thanks for letting the couple meet.

With just four months in the relationship, the couple exchanged vows on 3 September 2007 during the backstage of the final date of Linkin Park’s ‘Projekt Revolution’ tour. The wedding was performed by a member of Live Nation’s touring staff, who also happened to be an ordained minister.

Even though Lyn-Z married a man, she revealed that she had much more attracted to women with pride replying to a fan on Twitter, writing: “My first love was a woman. My first serious relationship was with a woman and so was my first long term relationship.”

In November 2008, the couple first announced that Lyn-z was pregnant. Together with her husband, Gerard Way, Lyn-Z welcomed their daughter Bandit Lee Way on 27 May 2009.

After moving to New York to study art, Lyn-Z took up the job of a window display artist and served as an assistant to a painter, Ron English. Before joining Mindless Self Indulgence, Lyn-Z was a member of a Dolly Parton cover band called ‘Beg Yer Parton’, which had punk overtones.

Along with artist Jorden Haley, she contributed to the artwork on their 2005 album, 'You’ll Rebel To Anything.'

On 13 November 2010, she presented her artwork collectively entitled 'HUSH' at the Dark Dark Science Gallery in a joint exhibit called 'Smile Even If It Hurts.'

On 11 December 2020, her website LindsayWay.com launched featuring a gallery of her artwork.

As there is no source with concrete proof of her fortune earned in her professional career, it cannot retrieve her data on her net worth. However, according to CelebrityNetWorth, her husband, Gerard Way, an American musician, and comic book writer, has a net worth of $20 million.

LYN-Z Career In MSI

Lyn-Z auditioned to replace Vanessa YT as the bassist of MSI in late 2001, between the release of Frankenstein Girls Will Strangely Sexy and Alienating Our Audience. Before her selection in MSI, she did not know to play the bass guitar very well.

But her friend gave her some skills to pick up on and ended up impressing the other band members with a firebrand performance. Lyn-Z is especially known for her trademark schoolgirl outfits with short skirts, fishnet stockings, and high heels to crazy stage dive onstage. One of her most prominent trademarks is the amazing back-bending while playing the bass onstage.

Lyn-Z continued to record albums and performed live onstage with MSI right until their self-imposed hiatus in 2014. Since then, she has dedicated her time to art and regularly contributes to various exhibits across the US.
