Former Supermodel Gerald Marie has spoken out in support of four women who accused her ex-husband Gerald Marie of rape and sexual misconduct. Her ex-husband was the former head of the Elite Modelling Agency.
Supermodel Linda Evangelista has praised the ‘courage and strength’ of the woman who has accused her ex-husband of sexual misconduct and rape.
Evangelista said she believes the accusations made by women against the model agency boss Gérald Marie de Castellac, with whom she was married for six years.
'During my relationship with Gérald Marie, I knew nothing of these sexual allegations against him, so I was unable to help these women,' said Evangelista, who was married to him between 1987 and 1993.
“Hearing them now, and based on my own experiences, I believe that they are telling the truth. It breaks my heart because these are wounds that may never heal, and I admire their courage and strength for speaking up today.”
Marie is the Elite model agency's former European president, representing some of the world’s top models, including Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell. He strongly denies all allegations of sexual misconduct and rape.
