Kyle Massey Charged With Sending Explicit Video To A Minor
The actor Kyle Massey has been charged with one count of immoral communication with a minor, according to court documents filed in June 2021.
The felony charge was filed on 14 June in King County, Wash. The actor was accused of sending the 13-year-old girl explicit content between December 2018 and January 2019, said court documents seen by Insider and first reported on by TMZ.
Massey was previously sued for $1.5 million by the girl and her mother, who accused him of sending the teen explicit texts, videos, and photos over Snapchat. The previous lawsuit said Massey first met the girl when she was 4 years old and stayed connected as she began her own entertainment career.
She reached out to him in late 2018 with hopes of auditioning for a role on the recently rebooted Raven’s Home. Massey then suggested that she fly over and live with him and his girlfriend while searching for a talent agent. Just days later, the child contended Massey sent her several explicit contents.
The report further adds that this most recent charge is connected to the previous civil suit.
Massey vehemently denied the first round of allegations back in March, calling the $1.5 million lawsuits levied against him, which he claimed extortion. Supporting his claims of extortion, Massey maintained the accuser’s legal team demanded $1.5 million earlier this year and threatened to go public to destroy his career if he didn’t comply. The actor said he shot down the demand.
The actor allegedly did not appear at his arraignment in King County Criminal Court Washington on June 28, 2021. He and his representatives are yet to comment on his recent charge.
