In a recent Instagram story, Kirsten Storms revealed that she had an operation of brain surgery less than 48 hours ago and will be on the mend for the next several weeks.

Kirsten Storms explained that she got an MRI after suffering from 'severe neck pain'; by this, she faced frequent migraines.

The General Hospital actress told her fans that she had an operation earlier in the week to address a growing cyst in her brain.

As per her Instagram stories, she stated that: “I’ve not really spoken about this much or at all actually. Less than 48 hours ago I had brain surgery, hence the neck brace, it was on the lower portion of my brain," she added, joking that no Instagram filter could really make her look normal.

"I feel very fortunate that my situation wasn't more serious and that I had a wonderful neurosurgeon who immediately knew how to fix it. I'm not gonna lie, brain surgery had me nervous, but I'm immensely thankful to my family, friends, and incredible 'work family' who have been supportive, kind, and loving during a time when I've been feeling a lot of emotions."
