'The Duchess' was released on Netflix on 11 September 2020. The television series created by Katherine Ryan is about the story of a single mom who tends to raise her daughter in London, England. The couple then entered the civil partnership back in December 2019 and chose to conduct their ceremony in Denmark.

As per Ryan, her daughter did not want her to enter a civil partnership "because it had just been the two of us against the world for a long time." Ryan added:

"She was not trusting of my decisions. She put Chanel glasses on and moped around Tivoli Gardens [an amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark] but we thought it was funny about an hour after it happened."
