Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel first met during season three of The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008. After dating for 11 months, he proposed to his ladylove, and the duo kept their relationship secret in public until their marriage. It was around the time that Bethenny found she was pregnant. Both of them were so happy being with each other.
Bethenny felt so happy to start a new family with Jason. Soon after, they hitched at the Four Seasons hotel in NYC in 2010.

After a year of their divorce, Hoppy was arrested in January 2017 and charged with harassment. Bethenny said that Hoppy’s alleged behavior was to torture her. She alleged Hoppy harassed her emotionally, mentally, phone, and he ruined her whole life.
At the same time, Jason told the court that his mindset completely changed over the course of their lengthy legal battle. He accepted the fact that Bethenny is a strong-willed woman. He didn't have any opinion and interest in sparring with her anymore and agreed to parent their kids.
The couple was seen again in court in 2019 due to Bethenny suing Hoppy for full custody of Bryn in 2017.

US Magazine reported Frankel told the judge in March of 2019 that it dramatically affected her relationship with her daughter. She also expressed:
“Until something stops, you don’t realize how traumatic and damaging it is. When that person is arrested, you’re sleeping better, you’re not stressed. You’re physically, more psychological healthy. You’re not a wreck all the time. It’s like you can have a slightly normal life and you’re more connected with Bryn because you’re not in a panic about what will happen with the emails.”
Hoppy’s matrimonial attorney, Robert Wallack, told Page Six that Jason and Bethenny were technically married till 2019. The judge said that their divorce issue had been addressed in open court on the record, but no judgment was issued.
Regardless of their custody battle over their daughter, and their dramatic divorce, Bethenny confirmed that she is still married to Jason.
