The veteran British singer, Hazel O'Connor is currently recovering from a brain bleed. She was reportedly admitted to the hospital on 9 January after being found in her home in southwest France suffering a serious medical event.
Her brother, Neil O'Connor made an update on her via social media saying that the next 24 hours would determine how her recovery may go and she was placed in an induced coma until Monday evening. He said that she is going to take a while to recover but she is tough and is responding to stimuli and to treatment. He wrote, "She's going to need patience from us and from herself, I've already learned that she's started to show her usual feistiness."
Her management team released a statement notifying that her Breaking Glass tour dates had been postponed and all other shows are paused without replacement dates. The statement said, "No one knows what progress Hazel will make or when. You could be thinking, Hazel should not be doing any shows in the foreseeable future. Well, yes, that could be the outcome. We just don't know. We know Hazel is a fighter and we think she would like to know there are live shows coming up as something to work towards. The decision is we keep June onwards under constant review."
