During the reunion of RHOP, the topic of Gizelle Bryant’s ex-husband Jamal Bryant was brought up along with his tax issues. The discussion was about how she might have to pay, and Karen advised her to get a lawyer to sort things out so that she wouldn’t get into any trouble due to her ex-husband’s legal issues.
However, Gizelle pointed out that she isn’t married to Jamal and shut her down, saying since they were divorced, his tax issues can’t be pinned on her. She also seems uninterested in continuing the conversation about her ex-husband. She made sure that Jamal’s financial issues weren’t her concern and shut everyone down by saying she paid all her taxes and even had her own home.
Gizelle had revealed on an episode of her podcast Reasonably Shady that an argument over finances was one of the major reasons behind her divorce. She said, “ it was a fight over money and I will never, ever do that to myself again.” She also shared how she didn’t sign a prenup while marrying Jamal and advised young women to always sign a prenup. She said, “ Ladies... I don’t care if you got $5 and he has $17, don’t you ever get married without a prenup. If, and when you get a divorce, you want to protect yourself.”
