Geena Davis Married Life

Geena Davis had a five-year-long nasty battle over the validity of her fourth marriage with Dr. Plastic surgeon Reza Jarrahy. She claimed that they were never actually married as they went through the motions of having a wedding, but never actually filed the proper paperwork to become a husband and wife in the eyes of the government. When her fourth husband filed for divorce, the actress said she didn’t want a divorce as they were never married in the first place.

The actress also said that her ex-husband Reza should have known that having a marriage license is a requirement for being married and said, “Reza is one of the most experienced and well-regarded craniofacial surgeons in Southern California, licensed himself, with over 10 years of post-graduate education. I think it is unreasonable for him to claim that he did not know that a marriage license is a requirement of marriage.”

When Reza pointed out that their marriage was even officiated by a Catholic Priest, she argued saying Father Smith made it clear that he would not be able to officiate or perform a binding Catholic ceremony because neither of them was catholic and that he would not be able to say, ‘I now pronounce you husband and wife.’

While the truth about her fourth marriage comes out during her divorce process, Jarrahy’s attorney made Davis confess about her lying in an interview with Oprah Winfrey about her marriage with Reza.
