Evan Rachel Wood exposed her toxic and turbulent relationship with her ex-fiance Brian Warner also known as Marilyn Manson in a new documentary that premiered on Sunday at the Sundance Film Festival titled, Phoenix Rising - Part I: Don't Fall. The documentary will arrive on HBO later this year and the actress testified about her sexual assault in Congress in 2018.
Evan Rachel said in the documentary how Manson started penetrating her for real once the cameras were rolling even when the stimulated sex scene was previously discussed. Evan Rachel Wood was styled as Lolita and was fed absinthe on the set of the music video which made her barely conscious to object to Manson's alleged actions. She said, "I had never agreed to that. I have never been on a set that unprofessional in my life up until this day. It was complete chaos and I did not feel safe. No one was looking after me."
Evan further added how she couldn't say no as she had been conditioned and trained to never talk back - to just soldier through and she claimed that the crew was very uncomfortable and nobody knew what to do. She said, "I was coerced into a commercial sex act under false pretenses. That's when the first crime was committed against me and I was essentially raped on camera."
The actress further revealed how Manson taught her to describe the video to journalists saying how they had this great, romantic time and none of that was the truth. She admitted that she was scared to do anything that would upset Brian in any way and the video was just the beginning of the violence that would keep escalating over the course of the relationship.
Evan had also accused Marilyn Manson previously of grooming her when she was a teenager and claimed that he horrifically abused her and brainwashed and manipulated her into submission.
Several other women including Game of Thrones actor Esme Bianco came out accusing Manson of sexual and physical violence that involved torture. But Manson has denied the accusations and called them horrible distortions of reality and said that his intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual. Moreover, Manson was dropped by his label, Loma Vista when he faced up to four lawsuits that included charges of sexual assault, battery, and harassment as well as an investigation into allegations of domestic violence incidents by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs department in 2021.
