According to People, Cage has requested the annulment because he was intoxicated at the time of the wedding ceremony and could not understand the long-term effects of his actions.
Cage also annulled that Koike did not disclose her relationship with another person before the pair wed. Cage said that he found out Koike wasn’t precisely faithful, and she has a criminal history. He also claimed that he did not know about her criminal past and present before the marriage.
After three months of annulment, the couple succeeded in getting a divorce in June 2019.
The court report shows that Erika and Nicolas received their marriage certificate on the same day Cage went for annulment.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Erika asked for spousal support, saying she lost her job opportunities being in a relationship with Nicolas Cage. She also asked for legal fees.
