The actor's relationship with a much younger Ph.D. student named Laura Savoie first came to light in May 2019 when the two were pictured hanging out in public. Not much after in August, Dennis took a romantic getaway to Italy.
Despite an age gap of nearly 39 years, The Parent Trap star didn't have second thoughts while proposing his 26-year-old girlfriend for marriage.
During a trip to Hawaii on 21 October 2019, Dennis proposed the young lady and asked him to be his wife. Although he had planned the proposal for over a month, the moment was spontaneous. He said to Laura,
“I had the ring in my pocket. It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan — I wanted it to be private. She was actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ And then she fell down.”
Laura didn't hesitate either and immediately accepted the sweet gesture of her partner. Now, with the couple engaged, a wedding may not be far ahead.

Married Thrice Before, Ex-Wives & Children
While the wedding is the first for Laura, the same is not true for Dennis. The actor had exchanged the wedding vows on three different occasions with three different women.
Dennis first married actress P.J. Soles on 23 November 1978. The marriage lasted less than five years, and the couple eventually divorced in August 1983. Dennis and P.J. didn't have any children from the relationship.
Later, he started an affair with actress Meg Ryan and got married to her on the occasion of Valentine's Day in 1991. The relationship went on over a decade, during which the pair also parented a son named Jack Henry Quaid. However, the former husband-wife duo bid farewell to the marriage after ten years of remaining together in July 2001.
Dennis' third wife was a Texas-based real estate agent named Kimberly Buffington. The former couple had a low-key wedding at the actor's ranch in Montana on 4 July 2004. Interestingly, Dennis' relationship with Kimberly has been his longest commitment to date.
During their time as a married duo, The Rookie star and his then-wife welcomed twin children: a daughter and a son named Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone, who were born via surrogacy on 8 November 2007.
However, even the lovely children couldn't save the pair's marriage from plummeting, and the two eventually divorced in August 2018.
