David Adefeso has filed a restraining order against his girlfriend, Tamar Braxton, on 8 September 2020. The court report suggests that Adefeso filed for the restraining order against a 43-year-old singer/songwriter at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles.
The news of Adefeso's legal step comes after a couple of months of Braxton's hospitalization. Back in July 2020, Tamar Braxton got hospitalized after she was found lifeless at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles. As per David Adefeso, Braxton was drinking and took an unknown amount of prescription pills that made her unresponsive.

David Adefeso also revealed that his girlfriend had been battling with depression in July 2020. He stated;
"Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister, and a special friend to countless people. This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression."
"Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment. Mental health is a common issue, affecting 1 in 5 Americans. Please continue to send prayers and hope as Tamar continues the path to recovery and ultimate happiness. And in August, Braxton had called upon David Adefeso thanking him for saving her life in the crucial phase. She posted a lengthy Instagram tribute, where she thanked Adefeso for stopping her from the attempted suicide.
