The founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, was accused of having violent and humiliating sex with multiple women. He was accused from an Insider's report that claimed several women's incidents with him in November 2021.
He was first accused by a woman named Madison, 20 years alleging that he filmed her without her consent, and another woman referred to as Allison described her encounter with the blogger as very aggressive. However, Dave Portnoy posted a video responding to those accusations saying that he has never done anything weird with a girl ever. He also shared that he was able to identify both women based on the details of their stories and claimed that Madison's version of events was false. He even pulled up Instagram DMs from Allison, where she had asked him to meet up. He concluded his post by saying, "woke cancel culture wants to cancel me."

The blogger posted another video to his Twitter on January 2022 where he accused Insider journalist Julia Black and suggested that she was biased because of her politics. He said in the video that he had distinct evidence and that he wanted to sue Julia Black. He said, "I want them to publish it knowing they have the evidence."
Dave then posted a four-page letter from his attorney, Andrew Brettler, that denied all the allegations towards him, and he responded to two women who accused him of filming without consent writing, "can say emphatically that he has never filmed any sexual encounter superstitiously or without full knowledge and participation of his partners." The letter's main purpose was to make it clear that the allegations were false.
However, three more women came out alleging that Portnoy filmed them without consent in the second article in Feb 2022. Some of them even claimed that Dave sent them multiple videos of him having sex with other unidentified women. According to the Insider's report, there is a total of seven women who have accused him of sexual misconduct. So, Dave posted on the same day on his Twitter writing that he will be suing Julia Black and Business Insider. He tweeted, "Somebody has to be the guy who says enough is enough. A guy who is willing to burn to make sure his enemies burn with him."
