In 2005, Darius McCrary started dating Las Vegas showgirl Juliette M. Vann, and the duo got married just after four months in December. However, they soon divorced in February 2006.
Similarly, he got together with Karrine Steffans for one year since meeting in 2008. After a three-month engagement, they married on 20 April 2009 and divorced a year later in 2011.
His latest marriage divorce was with Tammy Brawner from 2014 to 2019. They duo parented a child during their time together.
While his married life with Karrine Steffans was short, their divorce came out along with the accusation against Darius McCray. After their marriage, Darius reportedly said that he was attracted to her mind and her body. He added that his relationship with Karrine was “tumultuous.” He also recalled a warning from Bobby, which he laughed at off.

In an interview with Karrine, she claimed that Darius was physically abusive and also he beat and choked her on occasion.
The sitcom star’s marriage to former actress Tammy Brawner also had its fair share of controversies. The divorce was filed by Brawner which claimed that she had to suffer excess domestic violence and mistreated their daughter, Zoey.

McCray was asked to vacate their home with such accusations and stay 100 yards away from Tammy and Zoey. Before accusing Darius in 2015, while still in the Harlem Globetrotters, she sued the organization for firing her because she was pregnant. At the time, she also accused their team coach, Jimmy Blacklock, of sexually harassing her and calling her his “girlfriend” multiple times.
The accuser, Brawner, is actually a graduate of the Dominican University of California before she entered the entertainment industry. She also earned a degree in criminal justice before trying to go into law. However, she took on a master’s degree in Global Management instead.

He Was Accused Multiple Times By His Estranged Wives
The controversies surrounding Darius are mostly of accusations made against him from his ex-wives. He was accused of being a violent husband at home by his then-wife, Karrine Steffans. This news was settled down over time.
Another one of the accusations came from his recent ex-wife, Tammy Brawner. Apparently, Brawner filed a divorce claiming “he is violent, destructive and unstable emotionally.” She also wrote in the court documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on 15 February 2017 that McCray “uses drugs and drinks heavily regularly.”
Among the claims, one remains the most shocking: when Zoey was just about 8 or 9 months old, McCray held her a burning stove with boiling water and wished he didn’t have her. McCray’s lawyer commented on her claims to TMZ, saying:
“She is a predator motivated by desperate desire to extort money out of Mr. McCray while trying to create an advantage in an impending divorce and custody battle.”
As per the report of tmz.com, the two-year-long divorce battle has ended with an agreement upon the custody of their daughter, Zoey. Tammy has been allowed to get legal and physical custody of Zoey, and Darius will have weekly visits with her.
However, his visit also came up with certain conditions to be fulfilled. For starters, Darius will be monitored during his first 20 visits with Zoey. According to doctors, he must also attend alcohol/drug abuse and batterers invention classes over a year – and complete 6 parenting classes, which will allow him to have unmonitored visits after completion.
During the visit, both parents are restricted from performing any “negative, disrespectful or derogatory manner” around their child. Financially, Darius will pay Tammy $1366 per month in child support but not any spousal support.
The court also took on Tammy’s claim of Darius being a drug abuser, which added to his agreement to submit the two random drug tests over the then-next 60 days. Moreover, they are not to be found on the influence of drugs or any other substances when they have Zoey.
