Cameron Diaz has recently shed some light to the Hollywood beauty standards and her reasons to not wash her face. She talked with HollywoodLife about widely exploitative female beauty standards set in Hollywood.
She shared that she never washed her face anymore even though she has over a billion skincare products in her home and said that she was a victim to all of the societal objectification and exploitations subjected to women. She admitted that at certain times, she even bought into all of them herself.
Cameron further revealed that it was hard for her to not look and judge herself against other markers of beauty. She said that that was one of the biggest things for her last eight years. She confessed that she was like wild animal and described herself as a beast.
She shared how sitting in front of the mirror for hours a day as an actress became toxic and added that the last thing she thought about on a daily basis was what she looked like. However, she explained that she would wash her face twice a month if she was lucky and said that she was focusing to stay strong instead.
