Busy Philipps Shares Mom Reaction For Her Sexy Bikini

The 42 year old Girls5eva star Busy Philipps shared a sultry instagram photo of herself relaxing in a pool at a tropical location on Tuesday and wrote, “This is 100 percent the hottest self timer pic I've ever taken. There's no lame comment where I try to buy back what this is.”

The actress then returned to instagram to share her mom’s reaction and their text conversation on her story where her mom said, “Biz-someone commented on your insta pic about your right underarm looking swollen and it does. Please take a look and get to a Dr. If it is.” Busy protested saying that it was fat but her mother insisted, “It’s not fat.” then the actress wrote back, “MOM STOP”. Busy added the screenshot on her story, “This is what I get for posting that thirst trap. This text from my mom.”

Her mother’s concern comes after her recent health scare which she shared with Health magazine and revealed that doctors found a cyst that looked a little weird when she went in for a mammogram and said, “My feeling is, there’s no reason to get upset until they tell you to because it’s a waste of energy – you can’t change the results. When those scary thoughts creep in, I say, ‘I see you , thoughts. I am going to put you away in this little cabinet.”

Busy Philipps Parents Details

Busy Philipps was born to Joseph and Barbara Philips in Oak Park, IL. They met at Oak Park High School in Illinois. They named her Elizabeth but gave her nickname of Busy which stuck with her for her stage name. They gave her Busy nickname as she was always moving around. Her parents were not in the Hollywood game but somehow, Busy found her way through to acting since she was in fourth grade.

Her initial nick name was Busy Lizzy and later it became Busy only. She has also shared with US magazine that she wants to make it clear that she is not related to actress Bijou Philips.

Busy Philipps met her husband, Marc Silverstein and got married after dating in 2007. Busy Philips has talked about her romantic husband with OK! Magazine an said, “He drew up a contract that says he will never break my heart and he had it all drawn up and notarized so it’s legal and he had it framed and hung it on the wall. So if we’re arguing I can say, ‘um , excuse me can I just point out what’s hanging above the mantel!”

The actress also shared how surprised she was when her husband included their wedding vows in the screenplay, The Vow in 2014 and said, “That was nice surprise for me, he never told me that he did that. I watched it on airplane and was sobbing hysterically during the vows part because I saw my wedding vows in there with Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum saying them to each other.”

The couple have also worked together on several projects like He’s Just Not That Into You and I Feel Pretty. The actress shares two daughters with Marc Silverstein and they are Birdie and Cricket. She also shared with TODAY about how she came up with their children’s names saying, “Since I grew up with a nickname – Busy being short for Elizabeth – when my husband and I started to have our babies, we decided that if we wanted to call our kids something, we would just name them that thing that we wanted to call them.”

Busy Philips had also shared how she took time-outs from her family during quarantine and said, “I prefer the evening or afternoon when I know all the kids homework, everything is done and they’re just playing or watching TV or doing whatever they’re doing. I go up onto my balcony. I call it balcony time.”

She also added that her husband also got his alone time as said, “He really enjoys sitting outside by himself in the middle of the day which is great.” she said, “When he’S out there, I’m like I’m not texting him where the spatula is … It’s just like go outside sit down and look at your phone do whatever you want to do for an hour.”

She shared that her secret to marriage is to prioritizing yourself and said, “You have to be open to the fact that maybe you need to be generous to your significant other and ask them if they need to prioritize themselves.”

In 2020, Busy Phiips opened up about her eldest child’s sexuality and revealed that her daughter, Birdie came out as gay when she was 10. The actress shared the news on her podcast, Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best and added that Birdie prefers they/them pronouns.

She shared, “For those of you who are my friends listening at home, this is the first you’re hearing that Birdie is gay and out. Birdie told us at 10 years old and we immediately...i mean obviously , I knew that Birdie knew.”

She continued to say, “Birdie said that they would like their pronouns to be they/them and I haven’t been doing it, and I said because I have this public persona and I want Birdie to be in control of their own narrative and not have to answer to anybody outside of our frineds and family if they don’t want to.”

She added, “Bird was like, ‘I don’t give a f-. You can talk about how I'm gay and out; you can talk about my pronouns. That would be cool with me. That's great. So I said, ‘Ok, I can talk about it on the podcast. So Birdie, my out kid prefers they/them. I f—up sometimes, but I'm trying my best at that too.”

Busy Philips used to date Colin Hanks in 1998. However, they decided to call it quit in 2000. They reunited in Live with Kelly show in 2020 where Busy interviewed Colin. Busy said at the time, “He was my college boyfriend! We met when I was 18 and Colin was 19... We are very close friends now – his wife and I are tight, he and my husband hang out. We go on vacation together. He’s real excited that I'm here.”

Colin also said, “It’s not awkward going on national television being interviewed by your old college girlfriend.”
