Bobby Shmurda Feels His Epic Record Deal Like Prison

The American rapper Bobby Shmurda took to his Instagram to express his frustration over his inability to get out of his contract with The Epic Records in his since-deleted post. Bobby was in jail for six years since 2014 and was released in 2021, but he was unable to be cut off from his label, The Epic Records.

He began his post stating that he was in a label run by a 70-year-old lady whom he loved dearly and said, "She doesn't want to let me go at alllllll no Matter what I do I've been [signed] to them since I was 19 I did six years in jail trying to get off this label before I came home."

Bobby further shared that no label did what his label did from keeping him signed to them even though he was jailed, saying, "You name one person in the industry a [label] keeps [signed] in jail for six years?????? Yeah ik ik I made them more millions than they ever gave me!!! Just let me gooo. This is not a cry for help. This is a message and understanding for my fans that they stopping my music and prolonging my career I been holding s### down doing everything on my own since I been home it's been ah year now I still feel like I'm in prison."

He concluded his post writing, "and by the way the album's done ready to live pleaseeeeeeeee I need them to let me goooooo!! #FreeShmurda."

Bobby Shmurda has an estimated net worth of $400 thousand as an American rapper. He was raised by his mother alone as his father was convicted of attempted murder in 1995 and sentenced to life in prison. Bobby was raised by his mother and grandmother with his brother. 

Bobby started his music career from rapping in 2004 and got popular for remixing the song Knuck If You Buck by Crime Mob. Bobby's breakthrough was in 2014 when he released 'Hot N*gga" with a music video and was even called by Beyonce to let him know that she was a fan. He was also claimed to be the driving force of the G69 gang and was caught by officials having smuggled a knife into Rikers Island in 2015. He was sentenced to five years in jail and two years on probation.

While imprisoned at Rikers, Shmurda was sent to solitary confinement for a month after being involved in multiple brawls, and he was moved to Clinton Correctional Facility in Upstate New York in 2017. He was released on 11 December 2021.

Lily was also seen in the same dress in one of her posts where she captioned, "At the top of his wishlist." A video of Lily kissing him on the cheek and calling him papa on the caption surfaced on the internet back in 2021, but the rapper took to his Instagram Live to clear up the rumors of them saying that he was trying to be a nice guy and was on parole. Still, he blamed people saying they wanted him to wild the f**k out when they started to troll him for dating a white woman.

He said, "Even though she did some corny shit, sometimes that's what people do. You let that shit side, let it ride, let it keep going, bruh, it''s a fu**ing picture or a video or whatever."

He also pointed out the racist comments saying, "All the racist shit, that white girl shit. That shit ain't cool, bruh." He also denied that the person in the picture in the black hoodie was not him seen, with Lily saying, "That is the homeboy's joint, bro."
