Astrid Loch is currently in hospital along with her newborn baby and her fiancé, Kevin Wendt, as they tested positive for COVID-19. The news was shared by her fiancé, Kevin Wendt, via his Instagram where he showed Astrid lying in a hospital bed with their 1-month old son August resting on her chest.
He wrote,
“Tough week for @thewedtdgang. Our family has COVID and it is not taking it easy on any of us. Astrid had a terrible flu followed by Auggy getting a fever, which after being tested is COVID as well.
August was admitted to the hospital and seeing him sick and in pain at 4 weeks old breaks our hearts. I got very sick yesterday and today is my worst yet, so I couldn’t go in the hospital, not even to bring Astrid dinner. Because of the new variant and the unknown around transmission, I’ve been staying clear of my little man until my symptoms are gone.”
He added, “This is an appreciation post for the best mother and teammate there is. @astridloch is such a champ she snapped into mama bear mode and never skipped a beat. While very sick she did everything and more a great mother does. This week reassured me of two things. August is a strong boy (IVF so he’s the best we got lol) and Astrid was born to be a mom. Thanks hun, for being the mother I knew you would be, already.”
Astrid Loch's Wedding Postponed With Fiance Kevin Wendt Due To Pandemic
Astrid Loch first met her fiancé, Kevin Wendt, in Bachelor in Paradise Season 5. They got engaged in August 2019 as Kevin popped the question in Toronto, Canada with a customized a cushion-cut diamond ring from his Wendt’s Jewellery. However, the couple had to postpone their wedding due to pandemic twice.
They originally planned to wed in November 2020 but the situation of the pandemic had not been better so they rescheduled their wedding for 2021. I get a garage, Ace gets a new neighbourhood to explore and Astrid gets, well…the rest. Happy wife happy life they say. Astrid had announced her pregnancy news back in May of 2021 sharing on her Instagram posting a photo of the couple showing off the ultrasound pics and writing, “One of the first conversations @kevin.c.wendt and I had was about how we both loved kids and couldn’t wait to have our own. When I think about Kev holding our little angel for the first time my heart flutters. Even in my wildest dreams I couldn’t have imagined how amazing this would all feel.”
On an Instagram story Kevin had shared about how he wants four children and then maybe one adoption and three other dogs therefore eight but Astrid wanted three.
