Who Is Apple Martin?
Apple Martin was born on 14 May 2004, in London, England. She is the oldest child of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and singer Chris Martin. She has a younger brother named Moses Bruce Anthony Martin. She has Ashkenazi Jewish, Irish, German, English, and Swiss-German ancestry on her mother’s side and is of English descent on her father’s side.
While Gwyneth was pregnant with her, Chris said that the baby would be named “Apple” if she gave birth to a girl. Interestingly, Gwyneth liked the naming sense as it was “sweet, wholesome and biblical.” Nevertheless, when Apple was born, her controversial name created a media frenzy and made her the most searched celebrity kid in Hollywood at the time of her birth. Apparently, Apple also loves her name as it is.
Apple’s conception inspired Coldplay to release a song titled I Am Your Baby’s Daddy, and her father also wrote Speed of Sound to share his awe and joy at becoming a father. Her middle names were chosen in honor of her grandmothers – Blythe Danner and Alison Fleming.
In March 2019, Paltrow posted an image of Apple without asking her first, believing that not much of her face was revealed in the photo. But Apple expressed her unpleasantness at her mother for posting her photo without asking her permission; the comment generated a great deal of controversy.
Apple is a big fan of her mother’s company, Goop. At the age of 13, she accompanied her mother to one of her stores, helping out behind the counter and telling customers about the products. She has appeared in some TV series such as VH1: All Access and The Goop Lab.
The sweet media personality just turned 17 this year. She stands at the height of 5 ft 8 in or 173 cm and weighs around 61 kg or 134.5 lbs. Apple is considered her stunning mother’s doppelganger as the two share a striking resemblance.

Apple has turned 17 just this year. Paltrow, on the occasion of her daughter Apple’s, birthday shared a beautiful snap of Apple on a beachside along with a lovely message on her Instagram account on 14 May 2021.
Paltrow wrote:
“Can it be? 17 today?? My sweetest girl… YOU ARE MY LIFE! You make me belly laugh every day. You are brilliant and hardworking. You are fully YOU which I respect and admire so much. I wish I had had even a spoonful of the self-acceptance you have when u was your age. You are so inspiring and just so cool. I remember the morning you came into the world so perfectly, I just can’t believe it was 17 years ago. Happy birthday, my angel.”
Paltrow also celebrated her daughter’s birthday last year in 2020 on her Instagram account. In it, Paltrow shared a photo of Apple in which she looks just like her mom and with a more “glammed-up” version.

During The Ellen DeGeneres Show on January 2020, Chris shared a bitter and sweet update on his daughter, Apple. When asked by DeGeneres whether his kids thought he was cool or he was made fun of by them, Chris recalled an incident that occurred when he went to check on his lovely daughter while at work.
The singer said his daughter, at the age of 15, got her first job working at a clothing store which made Chris as a father go on to surprise her. Then he went to the store Apple was working in, got himself a t-shirt, and lined up in the queue. But to his surprise, Apple was not enthusiastic to see him, and as she glared at him, she aggressively told her dad to get out.
Quickly, Chris switched to a different line, and while he was about to leave, he bought a candy fudge for his daughter. “So I said to the lady, ‘Could you just give this to my daughter?’ And as I was leaving, she shouted out, ‘I love you dad!” the singer told.
Apple’s parents met each other at a Coldplay concert in 2002. Soon, they started dating and tied the knot in December 2003. The pair welcomed two kids together; daughter Apple in May 2004 and son Moses in April 2006.
The couple was having a sweet time not until Paltrow revealed of having struggles in their married life to Glamour UK in 2013, telling: “It’s hard being married.” Just a few months after admitting to those marital struggles, the two broke up. Paltrow announced her split from Chris in 2014 in a post titled “Conscious Uncoupling” on her Goop website.
Nevertheless, their separation from being a married couple has not stopped them from being good friends. To say, their friendship has become stronger than their romantic bond of before. Despite their divorce, the two take co-parenting seriously, putting their children as the first priority.
After the split, the two have moved on to start their romantic relationship with their respective partners. Apparently, the former couple also supports each other’s relationship. Paltrow and her current hubby, Brad Falchuk, invited Chris Martin and his girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, to their honeymoon in the Maldives in December 2018. They later vacationed together in the Hamptons in August 2019.
