Amanda Kloots Advances To Semifinals In Dancing With The Stars

A former Broadaway actress and award-winning fitness entrepreneur, Amanda Kloots advanced to the semifinal round of Dancing With the Stars by registering a perfect 40 during ‘ Janet Jackson Night’ on Monday night.

She faced stiff competition during a show in which two other dance couples also recorded perfect scores with her dance partner, Alan Bersten.

Kloots and her partner danced to the Janet Jackson pop radio hit, ‘ Miss you Much’ and received compliments for channeling some signature Janet Jackson dance moves while also making the number her own.

They also won a dance-off, adding two more points for a three-way tie for the night’s overall top score, and hence, they advanced to next week’s semifinal round along with five other couples.

Amanda Kloots Personal Life

Dating One Year After Nick Corderos' Death

Amanda Kloots shared her dating news on Friday’s episode of the show, and she hardly shared details saying,

“both of my husbands, I met doing Broadway shows. We became friends first, then we got married. Obviously with Nick, we had a child. I've never actually had to date. I just started dating again and it is so crazy to be dating for the first time at 39 years old. And it’s quite terrifying and really out of your element and it’s just hard. It is hard. It’s all wonderful. It's wonderful people I'm meeting and it’s been a great process so far. But I'll just say it’s very hard without getting too many details. It's very hard.”

The Tv personality took to her Instagram to address an Instagram comment that said, ‘That was fast’ where she replied, “ how dare you judge anyone especially someone going through this process. There's too much to say and too much that widows deal with to not talk about it. Until then I will call out anyone who is rude enough to comment like this.” She had also shared how her late husband would want a companion for her in this situation.

She said, “ I am totally open to finding love again...... I would love to have somebody in Elvis’s life that would be that male figure for him. I know Nick would want that for me. I know that because I would want that for him if the tables were turned and it was me... I'm hopeful that there’s somebody else out there for me. I really am. And when I'm ready that Nick brings him to me... I'm sure he’ll have his fingers up in the heaven orchestrating something.”

Death Of Her Husband

Amanda Kloots paid her tribute to her husband, Nick Cordero, writing a lengthy post on her Instagram on 20 September 2021, remembering him on his 43rd birthday. She wrote,

“ With Covid-19 restrictions in place, we didn’t know which entrance was even open, so I left him on the corner. We didn’t hug. We didn’t kiss goodbye. We couldn’t. It was clear he was sick with something and we couldn’t take any risks. I don’t even know if he said bye to Elvis or if we said, “ I love you” I told him I'd stay nearby and to call me when he’s done. We walked to The Grove to kill time. We thought it would be a couple of hours. That was the last day I saw Nick as Nick.”

Her husband, Nick, died from Covid-19 complications at the age of 41 in the summer of 2020. He lost his battle to a virus after three months in the hospital emergency room taken by his wife.

Amanda wrote a heartfelt caption in a post dedicated to her late husband, Nick, on his first death anniversary. She wrote, “one year ago you left us and we became our angel in heaven. You were so much love and Led Zeppelin playing on our Spotify-no doubt that was your doing, not mine. What happened was unthinkable, losing you was my biggest fear. I used to tell you all the time, ‘ Don’t you dare go anywhere. If I lost you, I don’t know what I'd do."

Amanda wrote a memoir titled Live Your Life: My Story of Loving and Losing Nick Cordero that came out in June 2021. She shared that she had organized a book blessing to celebrate her launch where more than 21,000 people virtually joined her and son Elvis at the last stage Cordero performed on at The Bourbon Room. She even wore a giant angel who was Cordero’s final costume. She wrote on Instagram, “ Anna and I wrote this book so that Nick’s name would go down in history. Nick Cordero, thank you for being our angel.”

Amanda was first married to David Larsen, whom she met during their first Broadway show, Good Vibrations. She opened about her first divorce in 2018, saying she had been cast the musical Bullets Over Broadway at age 31, which closed three months in, and she found herself in her thirties without a job, without a husband, and without a plan. Then she pursued a fitness training career where she launched her popular classes called The Rope and The Dance.

Amanda dated her late husband, Nick Cordero, for a few years before tying the knot in 2017. They first met on a Broadway show, Bullets Over Broadway, and were friends first. Amanda gave birth to Elvis in June 2019 and has continued to give glimpses of their life as a family on social media.
