Alexia Echevarria's Married Life
The reality star Alexia Echevarria married Pedro Pegy Rosello from 'Cocaine Cowboys in 1992. Their love story was quite similar to the Hollywood romantic movies involving a drug dealer, a bad boy, and a rich father's daughter. In episode two of the Netflix documentary 'Cocaine Cowboys: King of Miami,' Pedro Pegy was revealed to be the close associate of the two men, Willy and Sal, who brought more than 75 tons of cocaine into the United States from two major Colombian cartels in the 80s. Pedro Pegy was a drug trafficker who had an essential role in the business.
The former couple first met at an American Latin restaurant in Miami in 1987 but couldn't exchange greetings then. So they got introduced on their second meeting at a club a week later, as explained by Alexia in the Netflix documentary,
"I think he was I the VIP, and I saw all these girls around him. I was like, 'Oh my god."
She also explained how she had no idea that he was a drug dealer on their first date and doubted if he was cheating on her. But eventually, they cleared things out and got engaged. They were planning their weddings, but Pegy got arrested on trafficking charges in 1991. So they married when he was out on a bond for a year in 1992 and welcomed their first child, Peter, in August of the same year.
Pegy turned himself in to serve his five-year sentence, got released after four years, and welcomed their second child, Frankie. However, the couple ended their marriage on good terms, and Alexia even called him a great dad to their sons in the documentary.
Her first ex-husband, Pedro, is now in prison after having sex with an underage girl in a club and is set to release in 2022. According to some reports, Pedro said that the girl's ID said she was 21 and said,
"It was a one night stand. Her parents had me arrested. Things happen."
Then, Alexa met her second husband, Herman Echevarria, in 2001 and, after two years, got engaged in 2003. They tied the knot in 2004 and went on to stay as a married couple for more than one decade and got divorced in 2015.
They didn't have any children together but had children from their past relationship. After one year of their split, her ex-husband, Herman, passed away due to a heart attack on 26 September 2016. He was the CEO of an international marketing and communications firm, BVK/Meka, and had two sons from his past relationship, Nelson Echevarria and Herman Echevarria Jr.
The Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Echevarria is now engaged to real estate investor and developer Todd Nepola in 2019. She had shared about it on her Instagram and posted a photo of them kissing in NYC and showing her ring with the caption, "I SAID YES." The couple first met in 2018 and have been spotted together at red carpet events and on trips to destinations like Cuba, Italy, and Dubai.
She had talked about her wedding day plans with The Daily Dish in 2020 and said,
"We're still trying to figure out if we want it here if we want a destination wedding, so those are things that we're still working out."
The couple had postponed their nuptial to 2021 due to pandemics, but on their planned wedding day, the reality star faced the sudden loss of her mother due to Covid-19. She posted on her Instagram,
"Early this morning, I lost my mom to the horrible and deadly Covid-19. The last couple of days has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I was on the road to marrying the man of my dreams when I had to stop everything as my mother was ill. What was supposed to be the happiest day of my life today has turned out to be the saddest."
The reality star, Alexia, has faced many ups and downs in her life, including the death of her late ex-husband, Herman, and her mother, Nancy. Her son, Frankie, was also involved in a car accident in August 2011. He was 13 years old, went into a coma for three months, and spent another three months recovering. After the accident, Frankie had a problem with regaining his speech.
However, right now, Frankie has become the co-owner of a nail salon and waxing center called Alexia and Frankie's Beauty Bar in Surfside, Fla, with his own mother, Alexia.
Peter Rosello, her oldest child, had felt guilty for what happened to his younger brother and became depressed. He was also arrested for punching a homeless man in the genitals in 2012. He is now a married man working in the real estate business in Paris.
