Alan Mulally

Alan Mulally is a celebrated American aerospace engineer and manufacturing engineer. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ford Motor Company from September 2006 to June 2014. Also, he was the company's Board of Directors.

Mulally joined the motor company back in 2006, and throughout his eight years, he led Ford's transformation into one of the world's leading automakers. As per the One Ford Plan, the company emphasizes serving customers in all markets with a full family of vehicles, including small, medium, and large cars to utilities and trucks.

Alan Mulally officially retired in 2014.

Before working in Ford Motors, he was an Executive Vice President, The Boeing Company as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He managed the company's commercial airplane programs and related services throughout his tenure.

Similarly, he became the President of the Boeing in September 1998.

Mulally was President of Boeing Information, Space & Defense Systems, and senior vice president of The Boeing Company since February 1997. He looked over Boeing's defense, space, and government business. Mulally initially joined the Boeing back in 1969, and since then, his contributions were on the 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787 airplanes.

Besides that, Mulally was the President of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the past chairman of the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association. 

Throughout his career, Mulally has been named No. Three on Fortune's "World's Greatest Leaders" list, Industry Leader of the Year by Automotive News magazine, Man of the Year in the automotive sector by El Mundo, Person of the Year by Aviation Week magazine, The World's Most Influential People by TIME magazine, and many others.

Alan Mulally and Nicki Connell Mulally first met during their academic years. At the time, Mulally was a KU Student, and they dated for several periods before they tied their nuptial knot in 1970. Since then, the lovebirds have been inseparable for five-decades with immense love and understandings.

Currently, they share a happy life with their family, including their children.
