Who is Aliana Scott?
Aliana Scott is a 28-year-old woman born in 1993 to Eminem’s ex-wife’s twin sister Dawn Scott. She was adopted by Eminem and his ex-wife, Kimberly Scott, who is also her own aunt.
The famous rapper chose to adopt her in the mid-2000s due to the harsh environment of her family. She was born to a drug-addicted mother, Dawn Scott, at the age of 18. Her mother was so much intoxicated and addicted that she was initially unable to find out the father of her own child.
Unfortunately, she died in 2016 due to an overdose of heroin. Her body was found in Detroit, Michigan, at Motor City Trailer Park. Alaina had posted about her late mom on her Instagram, writing, “always missing you a lot during this time of the year, Mom. Can’t believe you would have been 43 in 3 days.”
Dawn Scott and her twin sister, Kim, had moved to Eminem’s house when they were 13 to escape their own abusive and alcoholic stepfather, so Eminem knew how it affected their life, so he wanted his niece, Alaina, to have a safe environment growing up which is why he decided to adopt her.
Alaina also has a twin brother, Adam Scott, who was born handicapped and lived with their biological father, keeping a low profile and far away from the spotlight.
Eminem has mentioned his daughters in his songs like in Going Through Changes, where he sings, “Hailie, this one is for you/ Whitney and Alaina too. I still love your mother that will never change, Think about her everyday we just could never get it together.”
The 49-year-old rapper has also included Alaina in his song, “Mockingbird” where he sings, “Lainie, uncle’s crazy ain’t he / Yeah, but he loves you girl, and you better know it/we’re all we got in this world.”
Eminem spoke about his daughters with Rolling Stone in 2004 and said, “My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much and her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.” He also touched on Kim’s issues of the same drug addiction problems as her sister and said, “You can never let a child feel like it’s her fault for what’s going on. You just gotta let her know: ‘Mom has a problem, she’s sick, and it’s not because she loves you, but she’s sick right now, and until she gets better, you’ve got a daddy. And I’m here.”

Altogether, Alaina Scott has three siblings. They are Hailie, Stevie (Whitney), and Adam Scott. She graduated from the University of Oakland and currently lives in Detroit, Michigan, with her fiancé, Matt, and their dog.
