Who Is Stevie Laine?
Stevie Laine was born on 16 April 2002 to their mother Kim Scott and father Eric Hartter as a daughter. The real name of Stevie was Whitney Laine Scott and later changed into Stevie Laine. In 2005, Stevie was legally adopted by the superstar Rapper Eminem by reconciling with his ex-wife Kim Scott, Stevie’s mom.
Kim Scott started dating Eric soon after she divorced Eminem. Eric Hartter was a professional tattoo artist who had several legal issues and was reportedly in and out of prison while battling drug addiction. At the age of 40, he died in 2020. While Kim became a drug addict and was busy with many appointments with the doctor and also did not have a good financial condition and could not afford bread and butter. Since Eminem has gone through the same situation, so he adopted them. Also, he wanted to give them a father’s place.
Kim Scott married Eminem two times in 1999 and later reconciled in 2005 while adopting Stevie. She met him after she ran out of her house. At first, the couple had their daughter Haile Jade. At that time, Eminem used to work in a hotel as a dishwasher. He used to say he did not want her daughter to grow up like he did as he used to live from day to day and move from week to week.
The couple divorced after Kim saw him fantasizing about killing her and violent lyrics to 97 Bonnie and Clyde. And the second time they divorced was when Kim herself was fighting depression and addiction and was trying to kill herself.
The third daughter, Alaina, adopted by Kim and Eminem, was from Kim’s twin sister Dawn who was heroin-addicted from her teenage and died in 2016 due to overdose. Eminem even said,
“My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we were at.”
Eminem has three children, along with Stevie Laine. The other two are Haile Jade Mathers and Aliana Marie Scott.
