She has announced that she was not engaged with Wayne Lineker after her Celebs Go Dating co-star roped her into a bizarre prank.

Even though the pair were closer during Celebs Go Dating, Wayne Linker and Chloe Ferry confirmed that they were not dating each other. Chloe Ferry happily flashed her ring-less hand at the paps as she was spotted running errands.

A friend of Wayne said he pulled the stunt to see if anyone would believe he'd popped the question to his co-star, who is 33 years his junior.

'Wayne is a real joker, and this is exactly his kind of humor,' they told The Sun.

Gary Lineker's younger brother apparently sent his close friends a text confirming it was a joke and he and Chloe are not engaged.

Despite being nearly 60, Wayne is popularly known that he doesn't date women over 30 years old.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV’s This Morning last month, Lineker dropped a hint he’d found love. 'I was looking for a relationship - well, I was before the show - let’s see what happens on that...' he said.

Before Wayne was a cast member on Celebs Go Dating, he was linked with Britain's Next Model star Danielle Sandhu. Both were in a relationship for four years, although Danielle was 31 years younger than Wayne. The pair got split in 2018.

Wayne has four kids. He is a father to three sons, Duane, Sean, Freddie, and a daughter Tia. He works with two of his sons. His oldest son Duane co-founded Ocean Beach with him, while his middle son works in his other clubs.

Wayne Lineker And His Older Brother Gary Linker Relationship Details

Wayne and Gary were close during their early years. They were born just two years apart. While Gary became a football star, Wayne started selling fruit and vegetables before establishing his bar and nightclub empire. They used to play golf twice a week and spoke on the phone every day before their relationship broke down catastrophically.

The pair became involved in a painful feud that dragged in other family members - and Wayne blamed one woman. Wayne claimed they drifted apart when Gary started seeing Danielle Bux in 2008, who he married the following year but would later divorce from in 2016.

Wayne claimed he was baffled when their weekly phone conversations and home visits came to an abrupt end. Wayne couldn't understand why their contact had fizzled out within a year, but he blamed an awkward first meeting with Danielle.

Wayne had been the best man at Gary's first wedding to ex-wife Michelle Cockayne in 1986, but he didn't even attend his second set of nuptials. Wayne refused to attend because he was told his then-girlfriend, model Ana Tanaka, was not invited just months before the big day.

Wayne claimed his attempts to reconcile their brotherly bond failed, and an awkward call on Gary's 50th birthday lasted less than a minute.

In August 2017, the brothers had slowly started to heal their rift.

'We talk now. We are not how we were years and years ago, but we speak more now,' Wayne told The Sunday Mirror.

'We are slowly getting there. It’s important. He’s my brother. We were so close. We used to play golf twice a week, go to each other’s houses and speak every day on the phone,' Wayne added.
