Nicholas Brendon Arrested

As per the confirmed report from Fox News, Nicholas Brendon has been arrested in Indiana on drug charges.

The publication also further dug for information on the arrest with the Vigo County Jail and revealed that he was charged with prescription fraud of a controlled substance and for refusing to identify himself while stopped for an infraction on 18 August.

TMZ also looked over Brendon’s case and reported an affidavit; he was allegedly pulled over for driving erratically. The affidavit said Brendon was “sweating profusely and appeared nervous due to a visibly racing pulse on his neck and shaking hands” when he was pulled over.

Furthermore, when asked for his personal information by the police, the actor whose real name is Nicholas Brendon Schultz presented them with a California-produced ID that showed his name to be “Kelton Schultz,” whom he claimed was his twin brother.

In fact, Brendon indeed has a twin brother, who is working in the entertainment industry as himself, named Kelly Donovan Schultz.

Moreover, during the pullover, the police allegedly found a “small plastic bag that contained crystal/powder residue” as well as pills and medication prescribed to “Nicholas Bender.” This brought the suspicion of the police more as they called in a K-9 unit to inspect Brendon’s vehicle, after which they found more of those plastic bags with some traces of residue, along with a prescription for amphetamine salts prescribed by Kelton Schultz.

When asked why he lied about his identity, Brendon answered that he and his twin brother having the same prescription allegedly led them to fill each other’s prescriptions. Brendon further admitted to taking pills that were prescribed to Kelton.

The actor was eventually arrested as the police claimed he used “his brother’s ID to procure more or that the ID… belonging to Kelton is fraudulent.”

Any comments from his attorney, Christopher Eskew, have been denied as of now. Brendon is due for his hearing in the court on 2 December this year, as per a Vigo Superior Court docket.

Nicholas previously had a handful of events with the laws and was arrested for grand theft, resisting arrest, battery against a peace officer, and criminal mischief.
