Marta Ochoa is a Colombian kidnapping victim of the M-19 Guerilla Movement outside her University on 13 March 1981. She is known as the sister of drug lords Jorge Luis and Fabio Ochoa Vasquez. However, Marta Ochoa doesn’t have a Wikipedia page.
Marta Ochoa was born to her parents as Marta Nieves Ochoa Vasquez de Yepes in 1955 in Colombia. She is the daughter of her parents, mother, Margoth Vasquez Restrepo and father, Fabio Ochoa Restrepo. Her father, Fabio was popular as the patriarch of a major Colombian drug trafficking family and also a renowned horse breeder. Sadly, he passed away in 2002 due to kidney failure.
In addition, Marta grew up with her three brothers, Juan David Ochoa Vasquez, Jorge Luis Ochoa Vasquez and Fabio Ochoa Vasquez. Her brother, Jorge is a well-known Colombian former drug trafficker best recognized as one of the founding members of the notorious Medelin Cartel in late 1970s. Jorge was released in July 1996 after a five-year and a half year prison sentence for drug trafficking since he surrendered to the Colombian policy in Jan 1991. Similarly, her another brother, Fabio Ochoa is also former leading member of the Medelin cocaine trafficking cartel who currently serves 30-year term in US Federal prison since 1999.

Marta was abducted by the M-19 revolutionary movement on 13 March 1981 since she was the sister of criminal Ochoa Brothers. Marta was kidnapped outside from her University and the leader of M-19 Ivan Torres was present during the action. The hostage-takers demanded ransom to be paid but her brother Jorge Luis Ochoa refused to pay for her release by the influence of Pablo Escobar including other members of the Medelin cartel.
Pablo Escobar of the Medelin Cartel ordered his men to hunt down the M-19 fighters with paramilitary group Muerte a Secuestradores (MAS). The M-19 jungle camp was attacked and several dead guerrillas were tied up to trees with a message to hand over Marta unharmed. Ivan Torres released Ochoa to Pablo and asked to execute him with the Sword of Simon Bolivar. However, Pablo sparred Torres and offered to work together in order to liberate Colombia.
