Just after 15 minutes, Maria messaged her father that someone was knocking on their door. Eventually, her father lost contact with her and asked his brother, who lived in the same apartment, to go and check on her. Eventually, after her father returned home at 3:00 pm, her body was found wrapped in a trash bag inside a clothes hamper underneath her own bed.
