An Online Post Shook The Reputation Of The DSP Media
The allegations process started all the way back from 28 February 2021 from an online post. Lee’s so-called “younger brother,” wrote a post alleging that April's members have bullied Lee. Additionally, another person identifying oneself as Lee’s classmate made the same kind of allegations. The company released a press statement saying all the allegations were false.
Moreover, the person claiming to be the brother of Lee again wrote another post that criticized DSP Media's response on his previous post on 3 March. He wrote against their response that the company had persuaded Lee to become an idol despite her wish of becoming an actress. Lee had also visited the agency multiple times to ask about her removal from the group as she was being a victim of the bully by the members and wanted to become an actress. This was before the debut of the band “April.”
Similarly, the agency had also said that Lee had caused the team's problems due to her mental and physical health condition. The younger brother defended the statement by claiming that the company had ignored Lee's reports about bullying and has evoked or compelled her to remain in the group. The bad treatment of Lee also resulted in suicidal attempts.
He also added that the bullying took an intense turn after her continuation. This even resulted in abnormal symptoms of Lee and stress-related issues. Despite Lee’s collapsing during work, she was left in the state rather than seeking any medical advice in the hospital. This resulted in Lee visiting the hospital on her own to seek further treatment. Also, The company had forced Lee to stop taking medication as it would create her drowsy and hamper the practice and work.
The DSP Media released a press release on 3 March to take legal action after addressing the second online media post of Lee’s “younger brother.”
