The Chinese-Canadian singer-actor Kris Wu becomes a hot topic after a controversy surfaced all over Chinese social media about him. This has resulted in the social status degradation of Wu.
A young woman claiming to have dated the actor came up recently to accuse him of targeting young and sometimes minor females for sex. But Wu continuously has been denying the claims.
He was first accused of infidelity and preying on underaged girls on July 8 by Du Meizhu, a 19-year-old college student who claimed to be Wu’s girlfriend. She filed a police report which says that she met him when she was 18. Promising to help her in her acting career, Wu got her drunk, and the next day she found herself in his bed.
According to meaww.com, Du Meizhu also shared some of the screenshots of alleged conversations of Wu baiting the underaged girls and claimed that she has struggled with mental health due to Wu’s behavior towards her.
Over the past few days, Wu and his team denied the claims. They allegedly tried to settle the case with money. They initiated a negotiation, which included the settlement agreement to sign for, with Du in a chat that Du shared on social media. Du also shared a video of her being cashed from two bank transfers totaling 500,000 RMB from Wu Stacy Yu and Wu Yi Fan.
Du Meizhu alleged Wu had sexually assaulted more than 30 girls, including underage girls, without taking protective measures to impregnate the girls. And she further said that she has returned the hushed money from Wu and was ready to forward the case to the court.
Kris Wu Denies Sexual Allegation
Kris Wu took to Weibo on 19 July 2021 to address the controversial rumors about him to deny the claims made against him firmly.
In the post, he claimed to have met the girl who accused him of sexual assault only once on 5 December last year at a party with his friends. He claimed that he never offered her drinks or asked her number.
He further gave a bold statement regarding the issue-in-hand, denying all the claims and even honestly going behind bars “willingly” if he had made any one of the alleged claims made against him. He concluded, “I will legally take accountability for my words here.”
Well, the rumors may turn out to be false or not. For sure, we cannot say since the allegations have yet to be confirmed, and the evidence is yet to be presented in front of the law-implementing organizations and the public.

Several Brands Cut Ties With Kris Wu Over His Sexual Allegation
In the showbiz world, Kris Wu is one of the popular faces serving several world-renowned brands like Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Porsche, Lancome.
The brands like L’Oreal, Kans as well as Master Kong Iced Tea, Tuborg Brewery, household cleaning products maker Libby, kitchen appliances manufacturer Vatti, Tencent Video, and Tencent’s popular video game King of Glory dropped. These brands quickly took action after the allegations spread like wildfire on the internet over the weekend.
Kans was first to react and announced to have terminated its contract with Wu on Weibo, followed by Libby, Tempo, Vatti, Master Kong, Tuborg Brewery, and Tencent.
Louis Vuitton also issued a brief statement on Weibo, saying that the brand “takes the allegations against Kris Wu very seriously and has suspended its relationship with Kris Wu until the outcome of the judicial investigation is known,” as per wwd.com.
