Justine Vanderschoot was in a relationship with her boyfriend, Daniel Bezemer. They were teenagers in a relationship, and her boyfriend, Daniel, was jealous and controlling of Justine. However, Justine was very much in love with her boyfriend, Daniel. She had invited her boyfriend, Daniel, to dinner with her parents on Labor Day in 2003.
Sadly, her controlling boyfriend, Daniel, had different plans after dinner. He planned to murder Justine with his roommate/friend Brandon Fernandez. They strangled and buried her in a dug hole according to their plan. Justine went missing from her family and friends, and after weeks of search, her body was found in a remote Applegate area in California.

Disappearance Details
Justine Vanderschoot was initially believed to have runaway from her Auburn-area home on Labor Day, 02 September 2003; however, her purse, driver's license, and gasoline credit card were discovered at a park-and-ride parking lot in nearby Meadow Vista exit off I-80.
After several weeks of investigations, Brandon Fernandez came clean and confessed to his crimes, stating they dug a grave and poured a solution on Justine to quicken her decomposition. Brandon also took police officers to her burial place and bargained for his charges. It was reported that Brandon and Danie performed a premeditated murder and buried her while she was still alive.
