1) Pocket Monsters the Movie: Coco
In the Pokemon world franchise, Pocket Monsters Coco is the twenty-third movie making its debut.
The series is based on Japanese anime film written by none other than Satoshi Tajiri. The Pokemon movie franchise is directed by Tetsuo Yajima and is produced by OLM.
It features a boy named Coco, who is raised by Pokemon since his birth. The movie also includes a Shiny Celebi and a brand new generation eighth mythical Pokemon, known as Zarude.
Pocket Monsters the Movie: Coco is planned to be released in theaters in Japan on 10 July 2020.
2) Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Train
Kimetsu no Yaiba is having an anime film makeover directed by Sotozaki Haruo.
The manga series authored by Koyoharu Gotouge revolves around a boy named 'Kamado Tanjiro' and his sister 'Nezuko.' Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer after the death of his family and vows to take revenge and turn his demon sister Nezuko back to normal as a human. He meets many friends and foes along the way, and his optimistic personality makes him overcome many hurdles and obstacles.
After the airing of the last episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba on 28 September 2019, an anime film titled 'Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Train' was announced to make its appearance in 2020.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Train follows the sequel of the infinite train story arc in manga and is scheduled to be released on Japan in 2020.
3) Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown
Goblin Slayer is an anime based on a dark fantasy light novel authored by Kagyu Kumo.
It takes place at a world of fantasy, where adventurers or mercenaries join an association to earn money, grandeur, and glory. The story focuses on a priestess who encounters a horde of goblins on her first mission but is saved by a man named Goblin Slayer. His sole purpose in his life is to annihilate the goblins with severe justice.
The series had an anime titled movie named 'Goblin Slayer: Goblins' Crown,' which made its debut on 1 February 2020.
4) Fate Stay Night: Heavens feel III. Spring Song
Another sequel to Fate Stay Night is right above the horizon. It is sponsored by Ufotable and Tomonori Sudo as its writer and creator.
The anime movie titled 'Fate Stay Night: Heavens Feel III' is an impending Japanese fantasy anime. The plot of the series continues from the previous film events of 'Fate Stay Night: Heavens Feel II; Lost Butterfly.' It is the final episode in the heavens feel trilogy where the leading role Shirou Emiya faces the lasting participants in the conclusion of the holy war series.
Fate Stay Night: Heavens Feel III is scheduled to be released in Japan on 28 March 2020 and the U.S. on 17 April 2020.
5) Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector
The thriller crime anime Psycho-Pass is having an impending anime movie titled 'Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector.' Production I.G. sponsors it, and Shiotani Naoyoshi directed the anime series.
It is a sequel based on the latest anime series of Psycho-Pass 3 that got released on 12 December 2019. This time, inspector Ignatov Kei Mikhail stumbles upon a mysterious organization called Fox, and the film encloses fellow inspector Arata Shindou's story arcs that started in the T.V. series.
Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector is scheduled to be released on 27 March 2020 in Japan.
6) Evangelion: 3.0+1.0
Based on the science fiction series, Evangelion 3.0+1.0 is a Japanese film produced by Anno Hideaki and sponsored by Studio Khara.
Based on Neon Genesis Evangelion, Evangelion 3.0+1.0 is the final and last portion in the rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy. The anime movie was originally expected to be released in 2015 but was delayed due to Anno's involvement with the 2016 film titled 'Shin Godzilla.'
And now, after a long time, 'Evangelion 3.0+1.0' is finally scheduled to be air on 27 June 2020, in Japan.
7) Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna
Produced by Toei Animation and animated by Yumeta Company, Digimon Adventure: Last Adventure Kizuna is a Japanese animated film based on adventure, friendship, and comedy.
It takes place five years after Digimon Adventure Tri, which took place in 2010. After being an adult, Taichi and his friends receive news that their friendship with their Digimon partners will soon end and being separated forever. Meanwhile, a new Digimon called Eosmon makes its appearance, robbing other Digimon of their realization. The task falls to Taichi, his friends, and other Digimon to save the world once again, knowing that using their powers will shorten the time they have together.
Digimon Adventure: Last Adventure Kizuna got a release on 21 February 2020 with their original staff and cast members returning to reprise the roles.
8) Shirobako
The anime adaptation Shirobako is having an anime film makeover. The series Shirobako was produced by Warner Entertainment Japan while P.A. works handled the animatronics.
It focuses on Aoi Miyamori and her four besties named Ema, Shizuka, Misa, and Midori, who are in allegiance on doing an anime project together in their school animation club. Years later, Aoi is working as an anime production assistant for the production company Musashino.
Similarly, Ema works as an animator, while the three of the girls are working as a voice actress, 3D graphic artist, and a writer, respectively. The story briefs these five duos of girls where each one tries their hardest to make an anime successful and the struggles they suffer along the way.
Shirobako movie got released on 29 February 2020.
