Tracy Maureen Perez Picked As Frontrunner By Global Peagant Observers

Miss Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez has made it to the Top 6 of the pageant’s Beauty with a Purpose (BWAP) project as announced by Miss World via Instagram stories along with candidates from England, India, South Africa, and United States.

The model also wrote on her Instagram, “Miss World Organization will also be coming to the Philippines to fund my project. Mommy Chona, this for you and to all the solo parents out there. This was all just a dream and now it’s finally happening. Thank you everyone, for the continuous support!”

She has also landed in two frontrunners list by international publications in the upcoming Miss World 2021. Missosology has named Miss World Philippines 2021, Tracy as one of its top 30 hot picks for Miss World 2021. They shared, “Missosology’s core group of experts and correspondents reviewed each of the ladies as well as the trajectory of the pageant based on historical trends and more importantly the narrative that the pre-final contests has given us.” She was placed second on the list with Miss Venezuela, Miss Cote D’Ivoire, Miss Poland, Miss Bahamas, and more.

Miss World Philippines, Tracy was also listed as frontrunners published by The National and reported, “Hailing from one of the most-crowned countries in international beauty contests, Perez has a huge support system behind her, including thousands of ardent pageant followers in the Philippines.”

Miss World Philippines, Tracy Maureen Perez dressed up as a Moon Goddess, a daughter of Bathala as her national costume in the Miss World 2021 happening in Puerto Rico. She also described in an Instagram post the story behind her national costume writing, “Hailed as the most beautiful deity she has complete dominion of the world at night. The moon has been revered as a celestial being by most ancient civilizations in antiquity. Apart from its mysterious allure, it has also been thought to have a great cosmic influence on the mortal realm.”

Tracy Maureen Perez became one of the eight winners of the Head to Head challenge advancing her to the Final 30. Her Beauty With a Purpose project was inspired by her late mother who was a single mother.

She dedicated her project to her late mother and all the single mothers in her community and gave a short speech to build a better future for single mothers. She said, “We talk so much about women empowerment, so why don’t we start with empowering our mothers, most especially those who go through so much difficulties having to raise their families all on their own. They are not given the support. They are not given the help that they need. That is what I want for them, that is what they deserve, and that is what I would’ve wanted for my mom, too, if she was still here.”

She wants to provide a space for single mothers which is safe and wants to gives them continuous BPO and computer training that can equip them with skills to catch better opportunities amidst the pandemic.

Tracy Maureen Perez had fallen twice on the coronations night of Miss World Philippines held on 3 October. She had shared what happened that evening saying, “Actually, I have a lot of scrapes now because of my fall. But I told myself that no matter how many scrapes I get, I’m still happy because I won the crown.”

She has about 104k followers on her Instagram where she recently updated her followers about the typhoon Odette hitting her VisMin area and her hometown Cebu. She has written, “I’m currently working out ways to extend help through @msworldphil and our partners, full details will be posted here once finalized. May we be reminded that in these trying times, our dreams and hopes may be on pause but they are never canceled.”
