On 7 July 2020, Lynn Steger Strong released her new book (novel) entitled 'Want' that comprises the story of lost friendship and anxieties from the modern family. Several reviews have cited her newly released novel talks about the economic fragility.

Strong's character in the Want book is not from a low-income family; neither are they homeless or starving. Instead, it is the story of mundane middle-class precariousness, who work more and owe even more.

To be simple, it's the story of every sapiens in the world, which showcases people always wanting something more.
