Popular Girl Group member Jiyeon of T-ara has announced her plans to marry her baseball star boyfriend, Hwang Jaegyun, via Instagram on Thursday. She shared a handwritten letter and some photographs of them and said, "I have a boyfriend whom I started dating last year after meeting through an acquaintance. He is always considerate of me, takes care of me, and taught me what happiness is."
She wrote,
"Next winter, I will exchange vows with this boyfriend, who has been like a gift that life has given me. I will live happily and beautifully with my dependable boyfriend, who took firm hold of me when I was feeling unstable and who has always given me his shoulder to lean on."
Jiyeon also expressed her concerns with the sudden news but shared that she wanted to share her happiness with everyone though she was nervous and shaking while writing the handwritten letter. She ended her letter by writing, "I will continue to repay the love and support of fans by showing a good image. Thank you, and I love you."
Meanwhile, her boyfriend, Hwang Jagyun, also announced to his fans with his letter that read, "I have found someone I want to be with forever. I have decided to get married to a friend who helped me a lot by holding me and being next to me when I was going through a hard time last year."

T-ara's Jiyeon surprised many fans with the sudden news of her boyfriend and their plans to get married next winter. She shared a handwritten letter and snaps of them together announcing her relationship started with her athlete boyfriend last year. Her boyfriend was revealed to be famous professional baseball star Hwang Jaegyun. Hwang Jaegyun was born in 1987, so they have an age gap of six-year, her boyfriend being the older one.
Park Ji Yeon was in a relationship with South Korean actor Lee Dong Gun in 2015. According to some sources, the former couple grew close while shooting the Korean-Chinese co-production Encounter together and started dating in May 2015.
