The star revealed the gender and name of the baby on her two newly uploaded YouTube videos, which documented her labor, birth, and a short glimpse of the baby. She revealed on the footage of her little one’s name to be Fern Elliana Seewald.

The first video reveals the star having “a lot of contractions” all the way back on 13 July. She described them as feeling like Braxton Hicks contractions but “rhythmic” and “consistent.” The footage continued featuring their three other kids as they tried to guess the gender of baby number 4 and of Jessa getting ready to give birth to the fourth child.

Baby number 4’s birth journey continued on the second part of the YouTube video. The footage showed Jessa’s hours of labor, as the anesthesiologist arrived shortly after 5:00 PM to give Jessa an epidural. However, the epidural worked only the second time around in “7:14 P.M.” as the video read, before adding that at 7:39 PM. Jessa was “finally feeling some relief after 12 hours of contractions.” Soon after, she started “pushing,” and baby Seewald stepped into the world.

Jessa Duggar Had Issue In Her Married Life

On 1 November 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, Jessa Duggar got married to her husband, Ben Seewald. As per several sources, the couple dated for 11 months before getting engaged in mid-2014.

Their big day was quite a bang, featuring the attendance of over 1000 guests. Jessa’s father, Jim, walked her down the aisle as she exchanged her vows with Ben in front of the guests. While they seemingly had several chances to share a kiss, the pair still waited to kiss in private, and then they came back to share a kiss in front of their guests.

While the eyes turned on the Duggar family’s dynamics, the Counting On viewers also discussed the relationship between Jessa and Ben. The viewers believed them not to have the most heartwarming relationship behind the scenes. While Jessa didn’t work, she occasionally got brand endorsements, and Ben has previously revealed that he often did the dishes and did most of the cooking.

In spite of seeming to share equal responsibility in their marriage, the critics took the case in hand for a brief discussion about the couple’s dynamic relationship. The critics took to Reddit for the discussion, where several people opined their own views on the couple’s relationship. While some say Ben is just “lazy” but controlling the family behind the scenes, other claims Jessa to be the one “manipulating him [Ben]” behind the scenes. However, the couple has not come out in front to clarify any of the criticisms.

During a March 2021’s episode of Counting On, the couple shared their hardships in marriage and how they had to “turn to God” at the time. In the episode, the couple opened about their difficult points in marriage enough to “feel like you want to pull your hair out.” Thankfully, they got some chances to share some date nights and “pray when we go out on our date nights and that’s a just huge comfort for us.”

Just a month before this sit-down interview, the couple revealed the “heartbreaking” news of losing a baby last year to ET in a statement. In the same interview, they also added their good news, sharing that “another little Seewald is on the way!”

The couple first met when Ben’s family visited the Duggar’s church in Tontitown, Arkansas. But Ben had already fallen for Jessa way before their first meeting when he saw her on-screen in the series 19 Kids and Counting. Soon after, the couple announced that they were courting in September 2013, which only allowed a quick side hug to them in their relationship at the time.

But they broke the rules of courtship about two times, as noted by fame10.com, one where they held hand during prayer and another after their engagement where they shared a full-front hug. Anyways, everything went well, and they got married in front of the huge guests and are still looking quite happy together as they recently welcomed their fourth child.

Jessa and Ben are parents to four children together, Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern.
