Ashley Jacobs Welcomes Baby Boy With Husband Mike Appel
Ashley Jacobs and her husband, Mike Appel, have officially become a family of three after they welcomed their first baby together.
The happy news was shared on 17 August 2021 on both of their respective Instagram accounts, along with a snap of their newborn baby. Jacobs captioned the post,
“The happiest, most surreal, and exhausting weekend of our lives. Our baby boy is here. It’s hard to put into words how I feel because “in love” feels like an understatement. God is good #AppelPartyof3.”
Meanwhile, on Mike’s part, he revealed his son’s name in the caption, writing, “Welcome Grayson Maxwell Appel.”
Ashley first announced her pregnancy during the June of this year via Instagram along with a photo of her showcasing her baby bump, captioning, “We’ve been keeping the biggest little secret and we are absolutely over the moon to share our news.” The caption was also accompanied by a wedding ring emoji, which revealed the couple having married intimately as well.
While talking about her pregnancy during one of the interviews with PEOPLE this year, the couple said, “We’re having a baby!,” adding that it was “wild how the universe works – our first child together is due the same day we met, two year ago!” They said, “Baby boy coming in August.”

Ashley Jacob was popped the question by her husband during their trip on the ski slopes of Park City, Utah, during March this year. Following this, they secretly tied the knot on 5 June 2021, which was revealed during Ashley’s pregnancy announcement in June 2021.
Her husband, Mike Appel, is the proprietor of Nnovate Studios, which he runs with his brother David Appel, along with being a fellow benefactor of Related Garments.
The couple first met in August 2019 at a rooftop party in Santa Barbara, California. Romance bloomed quickly for them as they hitched in together immediately and started dating.
Their relationship was made official on 2 December 2019, just a day after Jacobs 35th birthday, via Instagram, as Jacobs captioned at the time, writing,
“Found someone close to my own age!! And out birthdays are just a day apart! Happy birthday to this cutie. Thanks for making me smile!!”
After engaging on a snow-bedded land during their trip in Utah, Jacobs later said to PEOPLE,
“After a year and half of dating, we can both agree that this adventure we’re on together is just getting started. We’re a great team and we can’t wait for what’s ahead! Buckle up!”
The exciting news was also shared on her Instagram account, along with a series of photos of the event occurring, as Jacobs wrote in the post, “My fiancé!! (Kinda has a nice “ring” to it!),” while showcasing her engagement ring and giving a double meaning addressing her now-husband as well.
Ashley Jacobs Dated Thomas Ravenel Previously
Prior to meeting with Mike, Ashley Jacobs was in a relationship with Thomas Ravenel. They first met back in the spring of 2017 when Jacobs was still running around doing nursing jobs as she stumbled upon a person she once found to be humble. But it was nothing of the sort, as entering the Southern Charm’s cast with Ravenel as his girlfriend escalated into quite the dramatic feud between with Ravenel’s ex, Kathryn Dennis, on the show.

During Jacobs’ relationship with Ravenel was like a dark past for her, as she explained having no “support” even from her family except Ravenel, leading to herself suffering from “situational depression.”
However, thankful or not, it was really fortunate, that Ashley got to end the relationship with Thomas since in 2018 Thomas got caught up in a huge mess of being accused of rape by his former nanny to which Thomas was pleaded guilty. Following this, Ravenel even had to go through the custody matter with Dennis over their two young children.
Talking about her time with Thomas, Ashley was totally not ok with it, as she said those times to be traumatic. While talking to the PEOPLE on late 2019, she continued,
“I don’t ever wanna go back to that place. Like I said, it was the worst year of my life. I don’t think I could make it any better. I tried. It didn’t work.”
Considering her previous relationship, her current relationship with Mike is quite the blissful one as she seems very much happy and in love with it.
