Kazuya is working at a karaoke bar as his part-time business. A short time later, Kazuya starts going out on a date with Chizuru, where she reminds Kazuya to keep things proficient between them. Afterward, Kazuya and Chizuru began to talk in a cafe where she asks him at point-blank range on the off chance that he has any affection towards her, which he hesitantly denies.
A while later, they run into Ruka, who blames Kazuya for lying about being occupied today and decides to leave with him. Seeing how diverted Kazuya was, Ruka takes him to a love hotel where she requests him to clarify the situation between them. Inside, he comes clean with her about his grandma's circumstances and depicts that Chizuru was rented to be his girlfriend by him.
At the point when Ruka attempts to entice him, a bothered Kazuya goes to the restroom. Afterward, a message pops on his phone, which Ruka sees while he was away.
On New Year's Day, Kazuya and his family welcome Chizuru to go out on a trip with them. As they were going to head inside the eatery, Ruka appears. After her sudden arrival, Kazuya and Chizuru get stressed over Ruka, asserting that their cover might be blown.
Before anything turned crazy, Kazuya decided to tell his grandmother that Ruka was Chizuru's companion. However, Ruka presented herself as Kazuya's girlfriend. After hearing Ruka, his grandmother confronts him, and he brings up a lie to disclose that Ruka was an obsessive liar.
Afterward, they all visit the holy shrine, and Ruka chooses to clean with Kazuya's grandmother. However, after perceiving that she believes in Chizuru, she couldn't tell the truth to her.
Kazuya, at that point, expressed gratitude toward Ruka for not letting the cat out of the bag, to which she answered that this wasn't the ideal time and disclosed to Kazuya that she wouldn't surrender her endeavor to be his girlfriend.
A short time later, it is uncovered that Ruka will also be working at a similar karaoke bar as Kazuya.
