Georgia Maq Releases New Solo Single 'Joe Rogan’

The singer, Georgia Maq, has finally released a studio version of her song ‘Joe Rogan’ and a music video produced by Tori Styles.

The singer had previously teased about the song on Instagram while Melbourne was in Lockdown in August. The song is in an acerbic synth-pop cut written, recorded, and produced by the singer herself, and the lyrics go- “Still only talking to other white men, yeah, he really knows what’s up, As soon as I’m talking about my opinions he tells me it turns him off, there’s nothing more dangerous than a man who thinks consent is lame.”

The singer explained in a statement, “I made this song alone in my house. It’s a burn on myself because of my historically bad taste. It’s a song about leaving a bad date because you realized you don’t have to sit around while some guy defends Joe Rogan and smokes a Gatorade bong, it’s about a very unique experience that isn’t actually that unique – I think it’s relatable.”

Her new solo single, ‘Joe Rogan,’ features voice clips from Maq’s Camp Cope bandmates Sarah Thompson and Kelly Dawn Hellmrich as Thompson said at the start, “If regular men are rubbish, then Georgia squeezes the juice out of rubbish and then dates that.”

Georgia Maq's Career Details And Net Worth

The net worth of Georgia Maq is currently unavailable.

Georgia Maq has revealed that her favorite childhood band is AC/DC on her band’s US tour, where she shared, “I really liked them as a little kid. But reading up the tracklist and I realized didn’t know anything except ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ and the other singles.” She went on to add that she’s not really an album person.

The singer and frontman of the Australian indie rock band Camp Cope has debuted as a solo artist with the release of her solo album, Pleaser and described it as a love album and explained, “I think the main theme is love, obviously, all kinds of love, Love that you walked away from so you could love yourself, unrequited love, forgiving love, love with no point to it.”

Her solo album has songs like Away from Love, Like A Shadow and said that “I took more time to record the songs and play around with them and I liked that because I could change things and experiment more. I think the pressure of working with other people drome to finish the songs, which I hated but also loved because it’s nice to be challenged.”

Georgia Maq Accused Of Harassments

A number of emails and messages on Facebook sent from Wagner between 2013 and 2016 to two of his former partners were leaked to which one of the accusers had revealed her self saying she is Georgia Maq and said that she gave permission for those emails to be released after Ryan Adams was exposed for all his abusive behaviors towards women.

The singer and guitarist of Camp Cope had issued a lengthy public statement following the circulations on social media about messages sent by the frontman of Smith Street Band, Will Wagner. She said, “I’ve been told it was just a bad breakup. I had to threaten him with an intervention order for him to stop harassing me. This was not a bad breakup. This was harassment and emotional abuse. Since the emails were released, I’ve been told I’m acting like a spoiled brat. I’ve been told I just want to destroy him and them. I’ve been told I’m just doing it for attention. This is why people don’t come out about abuse.”

The singer also shared how Will threatened to kill her and himself right before their second album, How To Socialize & Make Friends. She said that she wanted a genuine apology from Will for herself and other alleged victims.

However, the frontman of Smith Street, Will Wagner, had released a statement explaining how emails have been selectively shown out of context accompanied by one-sided statements and said, “Over the past few days, private emails dating back to 2013 have been made public. Some were messages sent at the end of a turbulent relationship. Things were said that has led to regret, things were angry and mean. These emails have been selectively shown out of context, accompanied by one-sided statements. I am not hiding from anything. I said some incredibly hurtful things that I completely regret. I ask that you make up your minds based on what has actually been said rather than form an opinion based on someone else’s version.”
