As revealed by the famous singer Garth Brooks, Chris Gaines is thought to return to the music industry. In an interview with the Billboard, Brooks hinted that the fans seemingly had not seen the last of him and revealed his possible return.
'Trust me, it's got a whole life of its own, and it's all coming. It won't be anything predictable, I can guarantee you because that's kind of what that character's thought process was,' he stated.
Garth Brooks also had released an album entitled 'Garth Brooks in... The Life of Chris Gaines,' which was also intended to be the movie's soundtrack about himself (Brooks). However, the film never got into a mainstream line.
Talking about Gaines, he added, 'If you know the greatest hits, they had to come from somewhere, if that tells you what's coming.'

Back in a year, he spoke with Yahoo and mentioned that the time as Gaines was 'tough' for him. Though he was famous and his albums were very successful, fans got confused by the real character. He mentioned:
"It really was a really tough time for me, because of the fact that I saw for the first time that people can be focused on something way past the music," he continued. "And that's never a good thing when the music takes a backseat."
In 1999, he introduced Chris Gaines to the world, which was his fictional character but completely conceived the alter ego. Since then, it has been a couple of years, he has been through several fluctuations in the music industry, and it appears that he is back with his 'Chris Gaines' version of himself.
Who Is Chris Gaines?
Chris Gaines is a fictional character (persona) created as an alter ego for the country singer Garth Brooks to explore varied forms of music genres. Garth Brooks, age 58, initially intended to introduce Chris Gaines in his movie entitled 'The Lamb'; however, it did not go as planned. The film was set to release under his production company Red Strokes Entertainment and Paramount Pictures.
Later in 1999, Brooks released an album entitled 'The Life of Chris Gaines' as Chris Gaines, which had a Top 5 pop hit 'Lost In You.' Also, he promoted his album via several television shows, including the VH1 series Behind the Music and Saturday Night Live, which he hosted himself.
