At the gaming club room, Yoshiteru introduces Hachiman and Yui to the members of the gaming club. Afterward, Hachiman quickly gets to the point and lets them know about his arrangement for making a dummy prom so they would get the attention of PTA and get opposed. After hearing him, they disclose that Hachiman is insane.
With Yui's help, they agreed to assist Hachiman with his arrangements for the prom, especially Sagami's brother, who announces the same conviction. Afterward, Hachiman discloses that he will use the gaming club room as his venue to arrange his prom.
During their gathering, they talk about plans on how their prom will gain attention.
After a brief discussion, they conclude that having a joint prom with Kaihin Sougou High School while finding support from the Captain Committee is a possible choice.
At the Hikigaya residence, Komachi is resting while watching the news. Soon after, a shyly Hachiman greets Happy Birthday to Komachi and gets ready to leave.
Yui, Kaori, and Tamanawa are waiting for Hachiman as he proceeds to Mihama Library. Kaori questions why he didn't get in touch with her rather than Yui. Soon after, he replies that her contact was missing when he bought a new phone.
Afterward, Hachiman presents the proposition for the joint prom. However, Tamanawa points out the blemishes and issues about the proposal.
Hachiman deals with the defects, and a rap fight ensures between Hachiman and Tamanawa. Regardless of the blemishes in the proposition, Tamanawa and Kaori show interest in the joint prom. After a brief discussion, the gathering finishes, and Kaori requests that they should eat with them. However, Hachiman declines her request, stating that he will continue working on the proposition.
At the gaming club room, Hachiman's group arranges a logo for the joint prom. Yoshiteru also brings his camera at Hachiman's request. He also proposes the name of the joint prom as the Saiko Project.
Afterward, Hachiman accepts the name and prepares to meet with Hayato, while the rest were mending up with their tasks.
On his way to the soccer field, Hachiman spots Yukino at the vending machine. He drops the idea of talking to Hayato and talks with her. Soon after, they have their typical banter of trivial things, which shifts to their proms' progress.
Soon after, Yui also joins them and reveals to her she is helping Hachiman. She discloses to Hachiman that Hayato had conformed to meet with them, and when Yukino was about to leave, Yui interrupts her to inquire if she was evading her.
As Yukino and Yui discuss, Hachiman watches and considers their circumstance with something that felt like a supplication.
