KT previously toured during the year 2018, which caused her the loss of hearing from her left ear, and now the dangers also seem to be lurking around her right ear. So, she took the hard decision to step back from touring since there are high pitch noises and sounds during concerts.
She released a statement about her withdrawal from touring, along with Hall & Oates, on Twitter, saying it was “extremely difficult” for her to do so. She continued that her loss of hearing in her left ear “overnight whilst on tour in 2018” came as a sudden surprise.

Moreover, she also added of questioning her own health since she has been in touring without “adequate rest” and has been significantly ended up with “inevitable exhaustion and stress.”
“To move forward safely in my career, I must ensure that my touring schedule leaves adequate rest between smaller batches of shows.”
Tunstall said it was quite saddening for her not to be able to join Hall & Oates on their upcoming tour, adding she would rearrange one in a “less intensive way” next year. Being a huge enthusiast for music, she decided to go with a sustainable method to maintain her health while also forwarding her career.
The statement concluded as:
“I love you, thank you always for your support and understanding, and I hopw to see you somewhere before too long!”
But she still seems to be up for her fans as she said that she would soon come back “in rude (and rocking) health.”
KT Tunstall was set to tour across 2 countries, UK and US, performing in over 40 concerts. She has her pending 26 upcoming concerts, between July 29 and October 8 this year, in the USA, including one being canceled early on. And another 10 concerts are set to be held in the UK from October 15 to November 10, after which she will return to the US for the remaining concert for the year, till December 5, and the last one will be in the UK on March 28 of 2022.
Though all seems set for KT to perform at her upcoming concerts, we can’t say whether she will be performing or not since she has recently stepped back from touring because of her hearing issues.
