The Teen Mom OG star, Catelynn Lowell, opened in an interview with E! News about how she and her husband Tyler Baltierra’s journey of adoption on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant in 2009. She recalled how scared she was when she was pregnant with Carly in her junior year of high school. She shared, “ The scared is me thinking that I don’t have anything. At that time, I didn’t even have a cell phone. I didn’t even have my driver’s license yet. I didn’t have a car. My mom and Tyler’s dad were kind of bad in addiction during that period of time also.”
She continued how sharing her journey on Television “Opened the eyes for lots of people to really see how real adoption works and the struggles that birth parents go through and adoptive parents go through.”
She added,
“People really need to understand that adoptive parents go through grief and loss also. They're not able to have their own children, which is a huge loss within itself. Tyler and I are blessed and we do love them for how much they let us be involved, that they actually care to have visited and they love to get together with our kids and obviously we love to get together with their kids.”
She even went on to give advice to other parents considering adoption, saying, “ Look at your life and figure out what is going to be the best possible thing for this child. Just really get educated on every option that there is out there and kind of figure out which one best fit for your life and which one is going to be best for your child.”
Lowell shared, “ we did end up having a visit with Carly, and MTV did follow that. They didn’t film Carly herself or anything like that, but they always filmed us. People will be able to witness what our reaction was from the first day to the last day, from leaving and even just like that the start of the visit and things like that, which I think is definitely important.”

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra began dating as teenagers in 2006 and finally got married in 2015. They celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary as Lowell posted on her Instagram with 3.8 million followers writing, “ Happy 6th anniversary to the love of my life and soulmate!!! I look forward to the rest of our years together with our beautiful family.” alongside several wedding pictures.
When her husband, Tyler, shared a shirtless photo on his Instagram, the post gathered praises and adoration from many fans, and his wife came to the rescue saying, “ All these thirsty girls on here. STAY wishing because this is what I sleep next to every night and forever!!!”
Her husband, Tyler, shared his fitness transformation of one year on his Instagram, writing, “YEAR 1 DOWN! …. I admire your hard work and dedication.”
The couple has revealed in an interview with Us Weekly how they felt inferior to daughter Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa. Tyler said,
“I feel like whatever happens, I have to kind of, like, filter through Brandon and Teresa first. I don’t trust what I'm gonna say sometimes. It's just very difficult to navigate and feel close in a relationship when you have to second guess your approach and delivery all the time. It's anxiety .. Me and Catelynn have talked about it many times, we’re almost 30 now and we still feel like this inferior position.”
Tyler had to propose to Catelynn two times as once Tyler had proposed to her in high school in 2010 but had to propose to her again in 2013 as they briefly called off their engagement. They had an on-and-off relationship for ten years before finally tying the knot.
Tyler Baltierra is a 29 years old model, author, and social media star. He is best known as the husband of the reality star, Catelynn Lowell.

Altogether, the reality star couple has four children together. They had their first child, Carly, in 2009 when they were still in high school and had to give up her for adoption. They have three other children with them. They are; newborn Rya, Novalee, 6, and Vaeda,2.
Catelynn is also an owner of a clothing line called Tierra Reign for children.
Initially, Catelynn was interested in making a career in Veterinary Technician but gave up due to a load of work and school it would take. Therefore, she moved on to a completely different field. She learned the art of microblading and earned her Fundamentals of Microblading Course certificate.
